The Designer

It all started…

When I was in junior high our school had a shop class. At the time, our instructor would teach us how to draft by hand using mini drafting tables. Our course project was to design and build a bird house. Sadly, my bird house was more fitting to be a paperweight than provide shelter for birds. However, it was that class that got me to try drafting in high school, and then all the way through SAIT. I began my career assisting architects with small drafting tasks and commercial work; then moved on to focus on houses and residential design.  In the end, 2 homes I have designed were either nominated for a home builder’s award or became the number one best seller. Each design was a journey, and dedication I saw it to the end.
